Who we are

I Need an HVAC Tech is a website operated by Dispatch Harbor, a division of Adserve Pros ("we", "us", "our"). We are an independent marketing and referral service — not an HVAC company — and we do not employ HVAC technicians. We help homeowners connect by phone with independent third-party service providers. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit needanhvactech.com or call a number displayed on the site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Information you share on a phone call, such as your name, phone number, service address or city, the equipment or problem you are calling about, and your availability.
  • Any message or question you send us by email.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, buttons tapped, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address. We use this only to display the city, state or region you appear to be visiting from and to route calls appropriately. We do not collect precise GPS location from this website.
  • Advertising identifiers and campaign parameters (for example click IDs and UTM values) passed through from the ad you clicked.

Call information

  • When you call a number on this site, we and our call-routing providers may collect the phone number you called from, the number you dialed, the date, time and duration of the call, and the outcome of the call.
  • Calls may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, compliance and verification purposes. If you do not wish to be recorded, please tell the representative at the start of the call or end the call.

How we use information

  • To connect your call with one or more independent third-party providers.
  • To display relevant local content, such as your state and seasonal messaging.
  • To measure and improve advertising performance, including attributing calls to the ads and keywords that generated them.
  • To detect fraud, abuse, spam and invalid traffic, and to keep the site secure.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with:

  • Independent service providers. When you call, your call and the details you provide may be shared with one or more independent third-party providers who may be able to assist you. Those providers are separate businesses and their own privacy practices apply once you engage with them.
  • Vendors that operate our service. Call tracking and routing platforms, hosting providers, and analytics providers, acting on our behalf.
  • Advertising and measurement partners. Such as Google and Meta, for conversion measurement and audience reporting. Depending on your state, this activity may be considered "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under privacy law.
  • Legal and safety. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property or safety of our users, the public, or Dispatch Harbor.
  • Business transfers. In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition or sale of assets.

Cookies and tracking technologies

We and our partners use cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies to remember your session, measure conversions, and understand how the site performs. These may include Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking, the Meta Pixel and call-tracking scripts that change the phone number shown to you based on the ad you clicked (dynamic number insertion).

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from calling us, but parts of the site may not work as intended. We currently do not respond to browser Do Not Track signals; where required, we honor Global Privacy Control signals as opt-out requests.

Calls, texts and TCPA

Calling a number shown on this site is voluntary and connects you with an independent provider. Standard carrier rates may apply. If you are connected with a provider, that provider may contact you back about your request. You can ask any caller to stop contacting you at any time, and that request will be honored.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion, opt out of targeted advertising or the sharing of your information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

To make a request, email privacy@needanhvactech.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Data retention and security

We keep call records, lead details and advertising measurement data only as long as needed for the purposes described above, to resolve disputes and to meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's privacy

This site is intended for adult homeowners and renters. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
